Looks like they're taking a page out of Fred Franz's old playbook; if you can't blind them with science, baffle them with bullshit.

Merrimack New Hampshire KH Project denied credit by WT seeks $ from others
by bnybyt inthe merrimack congregation in nh is seeking to buy land and build a new kh, the nh rbc has plans to build a $750,000 (that's right a three quarter million kh).
"the branch" has wanted to build a kh between the cities of concord and manchester nh for quite a few years now.
unfortunately the wt has looked into their resources, local bank account is over $100,000, and they can contribute $2,000 monthly towards a mortgage.

Of course, the rank and file all embraced this as sure sign that Big J's celestial segway was on the move, speeding up the work. Never mind that perfectly serviceable halls nearby in places like Sudbury and Woodbridge have had their membership depleted to do this, halls which are far more convenient than having to travel into Ipswich. Oh no. The CO must surely have noticed the existing Ipswich congos had a few thousand pounds sitting in their bank accounts and thus devised this scenario as both self aggrandisement and a means for the branch to get their hands on the money.
Truly we are blessed to associate with such deeply spiritual men as these.

It's not just a US phenomenon, but a UK one also. I'm in Suffolk, and they've jerrymandered the congregation boundaries so that they all focus on Ipswich, the largest town. Ipswich currently has two fairly new halls each supporting three congregations of about 90 publishers each. The former CO in his wisdom decreed Ipswich should have 7 congos, drawing in more from the surrounding area and necessitating the construction of a third hall because of great anticipated growth in numbers. (Currently they are still looking for a suitable, i.e. cheap, plot of land).
So who is to pay for this CO's vanity project? All Ipswich congregations are to pool the balances of their respective bank accounts, with the HUGE shortfall to be met with a loan from "mother". We can all assume what terms and conditions will apply. When this was announced, almost before the COBE had finished speaking, slips of paper were passed out to all in attendance asking them to pledge a regular monthly contribution to the cause.
There you have it, dubs in Suffolk are asked to buy the branch a new kingdom hall, just to satisfy the whims of the departing CO.

Pronouncing things differently so they don't sound rude. Typical CULT persona. Political correctness?
by punkofnice ini noticed over the years how bros & sis(tm) would pronounce words/names differently or totally substitute them so as not to sound offensive.. egs:.
instead of 'bible aids' a bro(tm) said 'bible helps' thus avoiding aids disease!?!.
instead of sodom the bro(tm) pronounced it 'sow dom'.

Brother carpetcleaner, the WT study conductor was on the platform, trying to sound intelligent as he postulated how Big J's attack on the real world would start. He thought the technology would be neutralised with an electromagnetic pulse (uncharacteristically smart, i agree) caused by "The sun throwing off a bit. A mass ejaculation".
Think he meant a coronal mass ejection.

Hello PleiadesPoliceman, my bad, I got Serenity and Firefly mixed up. I'm in the UK so I don't think Firefly made it over here, unless it was on cable. I've just got the download of it. As a mere study who commented in the meetings with the frequency of Halley's Comet, I was in the habit of slipping lines from science fiction in, just to see if anyone noticed. Never did. Amazing how easily you can pass off "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" and "live long and prosper" as scriptural.
Punk, I've always wondered the same thing, these so-called experiences are nothing more than an over exaggerated modern parable designed to elicit a specific emotional response. Rather like Pavlov's dog. How many times can you hear about Brother Andre or Sister Mary, who lives in the rainforest but still pioneers and never misses a meeting despite having to drag their carcase through 50 miles of swamp whilst having malaria, beri beri, amoebic dysentery and a wooden leg (so why aren't you doing more, you slacking, bone idle, lazy arse proles).

To paraphrase a line from the movie "Firefly", this whole religion is nothing but "a long wait for a train don't come". This activist, if he even exists, will soon get sick of waiting for the train don't come. He'll see continuing animal suffering, whilst being told to wait on jehovah. Really? The same perpetually pissed deity who delights in waterlogged mass extinction events? Whose terrestrial mouthpiece depicts ginger cats being thrown into the abyss when the big "A" hits? Who brands pets as false gods, and seems to think the only good animal is one on a plate or a sacrificial altar?
"Wait on jehovah" is nothing more than a worthless panacea, a promise of jam tomorrow. It does nothing to ease today's empty belly. Anyone who gives a damn about the other inhabitants of this planet, whatever their species, will soon be driven out of the WTS. They've been doing nothing but treading water for 130 years with nothing of any benefit to anyone or anything to show for it. The apathy, indifference and pointlessness of it all will be more than they can bear.

Another bash at education - wt13 9/15
by Splash inpage 20:.
the unwary may adopt the same view of theocratic arrangements.
they may be unwilling to go along with congregation procedures and may even complain about anything not to their liking.

Education is their kryptonite. Knowledge inoculates you against the torrent of dumbassery that flows forth from the platfom every meeting. The WTS tells you what to think, but higher education teaches you how to think. To assess, to analyse, to evaluate impartially.
An intelligent, educated publisher is their greatest fear, someone who sees straight through the fallacies and flawed logic.

They are the only group on this planet that promotes ignorance as a virtue.
I'm reminded of a conversation I had with the MS with whom I was studying, in which I was complaining loudly and vociferously about their anti education stance. He responded "Are you calling the Witnesses stupid, then?"
My answer was "No, I'm calling you ignorant. To be ignorant is to be without knowledge. Thinking that's a good idea is stupid."
Shortly after I was dropped as a study...

Precisely, Vidqun, in this image the GB have usurped Jesus' role as head.
Unless they've printed him in invisible ink, to mirror his invisible return..?

About as subtle as amoebic dysentery and explosive diarrhoea. The holy-holy GB depicted in their comfy chairs, perched on top of the world, and with god himself on his celestial segway directly overhead, with no-one in between. The implication being the GB have a direct line to god and are answerable to no-one. Stalin would have been proud of this little piece of propaganda.
Can't help wondering how many rank & file dubs will see this as anything suspect though?
